All student divers must be able to swim comfortably in deep water without assistance. Before starting the Open Water SCUBA Diver course, there will be 3 basic swim tests for students:

10 minute float

200m non-stop swim without assistance

If you are not confident with your swimming skills, no problem! Just let us know, as we can also offer you swim lessons with our swim instructor in one of our pools and/or in open water in front of the resort. We will get you good and comfortable at swimming before starting your dive course!

The minimum age for Open Water and Junior Open Water courses is 10 years old with parent consent

You are never too old! Currently our average student age is 60 years old, and our record is 78! If you are relatively healthy, yet think it is too late to try diving, odds are you are wrong! Just send us an email and we can talk you through it. We are also one of the only scuba teaching facilities in the Philippines that can offer the SDI Scubility certification, so if you need special assistance or have handicaps, we can still certify you accordingly!

Scuba diving requires a minimum level of health and fitness. Chronic health conditions, certain medications and/or recent surgery may require you to get written approval from a physician before diving. To avoid disappointment, download and review the Diver Medical form to ensure you won’t need a physician’s approval to dive before enrolling in a scuba course. (all students over the age of 45 will need the doctors sign-off, on the attached form).

If you are booking a last minute course, we can also have our own doctor come to the dive center for your check (1500 PHP fee)
